Local Food Promotion

Local Food Promotion

Supporting Producers. Celebrating Seasons. Connecting Communities.

At Farm to Table Peterborough and the Kawarthas, we see food as a powerful connector — to place, to people, to the seasons, and to one another. Our local food promotion work is rooted in long-standing relationships with farmers, chefs, food entrepreneurs, and community partners across the region, and grounded in a deep respect for what grows here and who makes it thrive.

We celebrate and elevate the people behind the food — from backyard growers to wild foragers, chefs to small-batch artisans — through storytelling, media, events, and community outreach.

What We Do:

  • Content Creation & Promotion
We produce engaging photography, video, and written content for social media and web, helping local food producers and businesses tell their stories.
  • Workshops & Events
We host seasonal events and educational workshops focused on food growing, foraging, preservation, and preparation using local and seasonal ingredients.
  • Strategic Communications
We offer consulting services to growers, makers, and food businesses looking to expand their reach and connect with audiences in meaningful, place-based ways.
  • Seasonal Campaigns & Product Features
We spotlight local ingredients, dishes, and culinary stories across our platforms — and we’re always seeking new collaborations.

Why It Matters

Promoting local food supports small businesses, strengthens food security, and fosters deeper community connections. Our work is rooted in the belief that celebrating what’s grown, made, and shared right here in the Kawarthas builds a more resilient, delicious, and vibrant region.
