Native and Adapted Plants Nursery

At Farm to Table, we believe that growing with the land means growing responsibly. Our micro-nursery is rooted in stewardship — offering native and adapted plants propagated right here on our property, from seeds and cuttings we’ve carefully collected, whenever possible, from our property and walkable distance. These are true small-batch plants, grown slow and steady over seasons and years. Our focus is on:

  • True native species
  • Native shrubs and fruit-bearing plants
  • Native trees and forest species
  • Select native cultivars

As well as a few beloved non-native perennials that thrive in our local conditions

All native plants are propagated from seeds or cuttings collected on our land and the surrounding region — never from digging or harvesting full plants in the wild. All other plants are grown from our existing nursery stock. Our methods are designed to honour wild ecosystems, not harm them.

Seasonal Sales & Availability: Our plant availability follows a slow-grow, limited-edition model — some species will be ready this year, others may take two, three, or more years to mature. Here’s how you can purchase:

Spring Plant Sale Late April to Late May: Includes perennials, berry shrubs, and young trees A great time to kick-start your garden with early season stock

Fall Plant Sale Late August to Mid October: Focused on trees, shrubs, and perennials suited to fall planting Ideal for establishing strong roots over winter

House Gate Sales: Available by appointment or during select open days.

Ongoing seasonal stock and one-off plant availability: Visit the nursery (by appointment only) and see what’s ready — and what’s on its way

Maturing in Our Nursery Some plants — like native trillium, forest understory species, or slow-growing trees — take years to reach a size we feel good about offering. That’s part of the magic. We’ll feature a “Coming Soon” nursery list online so you can see what’s in the works and when to expect availability. Want first notice of what’s available?

Join our Native Plant Mailing List for seasonal stock updates, sneak peeks, and special release days.
